Being a child of Europe, originally coming from Slovenia, I have had the privilege of living in Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Spain, and to experience first-hand the cultural richness of Europe, which allowed me to understand the cultural specificity of approaches and attitudes towards (corporate) sustainability. Nurturing the professional and personal contacts from these diverse countries and cities allowed me to participate in interesting and enriching high-level project and alliances through which I gained my specific expertise.

Amongst my work you will find topics such as sustainable public procurement, sustainable business conduct, corporate sustainability reporting (and particularly focus on the fashion industry), sustainable finance and circular economy, all of that applied to the framework of sustainable transition of higher education institutions, where I have created and directed postgraduate programmes and actively engaged with individual students in their final works (theses and project proposals). In the year 2021 I have been awarded the Emerging Sustainability Leader Award, which gave me additional fuel to continue building strategic alliances for translating academic findings into practical change. But to be completely honest, my most important incentivizing factor for passionately searching for solutions for a better and more sustainable tomorrow remains my daughter, which reminds me why acting with responsibility today is absolutely indispensable.
